Funny, serious, sciency, stands up tall and never gives in.

Russell 的關(guān)注點(diǎn)永遠(yuǎn)在Doctor身上，what would the Doctor do? what would the Doctor choose?
他可以在知道歷史的情況下，殘酷地選擇毀滅一個(gè)美麗的龐貝去保護(hù)整個(gè)地球；然后又回頭救下他唯一能救的一家四口；
他也可以在知道未來的情況下，勇敢地選擇在火星基地轉(zhuǎn)身救下他認(rèn)為應(yīng)該犧牲的Captain Brooke，卻想不到她不領(lǐng)情地選擇的自殺，out of shame。
He has become a better person, after the time war, because of the humanities which constantly strike him from his companions;
He also nearly died because of humanity, on a midnight train, facing a creature that was only learning his words.

他自己都害怕面對這個(gè)神秘而孤獨(dú)的人，不愿意再次變成這個(gè)冷酷而偉大的Time lord。
Well, thanks to the human race, we got him on the right side.
In return, we always need our hero to defeat enemies and solve problems. 也許在劇情中沒多少人知道這位英雄，但作為旁觀者的我們，他的形象已不可泯滅。

然而當(dāng)一切塵埃落定，他還是一個(gè)人。
他一度有那么多的朋友和伙伴并肩作戰(zhàn)，但到了最后連Master都不愿為他重生，那么孤獨(dú)。
于是乎DT最后的最后離開的那個(gè)場景是如此悲壯，縈繞至今。



Steven Moffat對Doctor有著完全不同的Idea。他筆下的Doctor，
Silly, clever, clumsy, fascinated about new explorations and always makes it up as he goes along.

Clara說過: “we had enough warriors, any old idiot can be a hero....(Now) be a doctor.”
Moffat覺得the Doctor不該是個(gè)英雄，他只是 an old man who likes expeditions, 一個(gè)富有智慧的老頑童。
他經(jīng)常說: This is new. 然后開心得像個(gè)孩子。
雖然他仍舊不是人類，經(jīng)常對人類的行為表示不解。
比如為什么Amy and Rory總是在接吻，或是為什么人們不吃Fish finger and custard，或是為什么裸體是不禮貌的。
但是他又像是茫茫人海中的一份子，比任何人都明白humanity的意義。比任何人都明白語言的力量。
他很少再用那個(gè)老方法：give you a choice, if not accepted, then destroy.
Instead, he always talks, lies, negotiates and gives brilliant speeches.
他明白最簡單父愛能戰(zhàn)勝孩子在衣櫥里的恐懼；
他明白火星大元帥的榮譽(yù)和尊嚴(yán)能展現(xiàn)對人類的仁慈；
他明白只有個(gè)人的偏見導(dǎo)致社會對化學(xué)分身的不平等和虐待。
他也明白最后的寬慰雖然救不了梵高的性命，但可以給他帶來希望。
這一次他不再是那個(gè)救世主，解決問題的也不一定是他。
但他還是可以用他的名聲嚇跑半個(gè)宇宙，然后又可以毫不猶豫地刪除自己在宇宙中的存在。
He still has the power and wisdom, 總是能隨機(jī)應(yīng)變。可以打落重力球逃脫天使的圍困，在垃圾場里重建一個(gè)TARDIS，亦或是用自己的囚籠恢復(fù)宇宙 from Big Bang two。
Now he might just know how to use them better.
For him, everything and everyone is equally important for the past 1200 years.
"Every life I save is a victory, every single one."

However, he sometimes got carried away, like us all.
And River is always there.
當(dāng)他達(dá)到勝利的至高點(diǎn)的時(shí)候，是River 警告他或許一半的宇宙可能感激你的貢獻(xiàn)和拯救，但剩下的另一半只會把他當(dāng)成魔鬼和死敵。Destroy his name and everything he ever worked for.

“You make them so afraid. The man who can turn an army around at the mention of his name. "Doctor": the word for "healer" and "wise man", throughout the universe. We get that word from you, you know. But if you carry on the way you are, what might that word come to mean? ”

而當(dāng)他一個(gè)人秘密地奔赴死亡時(shí)，還是River 告訴他， 他不是孤孤單單一個(gè)人，他也可以擁有整個(gè)宇宙的幫助和關(guān)心, and especially the love from her.

“I can't let you die, without knowing you are loved. By so many, and so much. ”

所有的一切仿佛在說: Doctor，他和我們是平等的，不過是我們中的一員，a special friend, that's all。他可以影響周圍的一切，但是周圍的一切也可以影響他。He cares for us just like we care for him. This is us, This is Humanity.


In the end,
他可以不停地奔跑前進(jìn), 探索每一個(gè)不斷變化的星座，文明，宇宙的角落。
也可以無怨無悔地，用盡余生為一個(gè)星球的安穩(wěn)和和平守護(hù)上三百年。
In the end,
He is just an old man, who fixes toys for the children and fights monsters for the Time lords, with a bit of luck.
So lucky, 他能擁有Clara的陪伴，孩子們的愛戴，家鄉(xiāng)故人的保護(hù)和所有美好的記憶。
所以當(dāng)他最后離去時(shí)，沒有悲傷和遺憾，只有微笑的寬慰和滿足。
因?yàn)槲覀兌济靼祝瑹o論是Time lord 還是human，每一個(gè)平凡的being，we all have to go when we must.

"Everything you are, gone in a moment, like a breath on a mirror...
We all change.. we are all different people all through our lives.
That's Ok, that's good, you've got to keep moving. so long as you remember all the people you are used to be."

最美的結(jié)局，也許就是平靜地接受，with tears。
And maybe this is exactly why I like him, better.
